Recaport does not rely on surveys, public filings, or "gut feelings."
Our benchmarks are derived from the proprietary data engine of Relikads, analyzing over $10M in managed ad spend across multiple regions.
Primary Source Data
Recaport connects directly to ad platforms (Meta, Google, LinkedIn) and financial tools via API. We validate this against the live portfolio data of Relikads Agency to ensure every benchmark reflects actual market conditions, not theoretical models.
Privacy & Aggregation
All data is strictly anonymized. Recaport only generates benchmarks for cohorts with a minimum of 5 active companies. This ensures no individual startup's performance can be reverse-engineered or isolated.
Definitions & Standards
To ensure your Recaps are accurate, we adhere to strict financial and marketing definitions:
Media CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost)
Formula: Total Ad Spend (Media Only) ÷ New Paying Customers
*We do not include agency fees, salaries, or creative costs in "Media CAC" benchmarks unless explicitly stated in a specific Full P&L Recap.
Standard Attribution Window
Recaport standardizes all incoming data to the following windows to ensure fair comparison:
- B2C / E-commerce: 7-day click, 1-day view.
- B2B / SaaS: 28-day click, 1-day view.
Outlier Exclusion (Data Hygiene)
To protect the integrity of your Recaps, our algorithm automatically excludes:
- Campaigns with less than $500 lifetime spend.
- Identified "Test" accounts or internal QA traffic.
- Anomalies caused by major platform outages (e.g., Meta/AWS crashes).
